The objective was to create and use detailed 3D objects based on real-life references, accomplished using a smartphone camera and a photogrammetry app (Trnio). The 3D objects were imported into Blender for editing, then into a 3D space built in the Unity engine, with a custom room-building feature for floors and walls. The VR system was implemented on an Oculus Rift S headset with two controllers.
Home Assistant was installed on Raspberry Pi OS to connect to the Qingping device and access its sensor data. Node-RED, installed separately, sent that data to the MQTT server, with custom namespaces created inside the MQTT Ignition settings to subscribe to the published topics.
The sensor data was published under three headings — battery level, illumination and light — and connected into Ignition and Ignition Designer for visualisation.
The Siemens 1200 PLC was programmed with ladder logic through TIA Siemens Portal, driving three buttons and three lights: red only turns on if yellow is off and green is on; yellow only if green is off and red is on; green only if red is on and yellow is off — none may turn on out of order.
Once implemented, the virtual visualisation was displayed on Ignition Designer using the Siemens 1200 PLC and the MQTT Ignition library.
A simple CouchDB prototype using Visual Studio forms, C# and CouchDB. It allows a new NBA player to be added with their region, name, height and position, saving the record in JSON format inside CouchDB, and lets the user update or delete existing records.
CouchDB is a great database model — it allows data to be gathered offline and pushed to the database once back online, with a simple, easy-to-understand structure.

MQTTRover is a custom two-wheeled robot controlled via an Android app and powered by an MQTT broker, Node-RED and Python. It features a 3D-printed body housing two motors, a motor control board, a battery pack and a Raspberry Pi for command processing.
The Android app controls the robot's movements and shows its camera feed, sending commands through MQTT; Node-RED, running on the Raspberry Pi, listens to these messages and executes movement commands via a Python script.
G-Bot is an AI assistant for the Raspberry Pi 4 that listens to voice commands, converts them into text using the OpenAI API, and responds with ChatGPT 3.5. It can also create images from voice requests and handle both text-to-speech and speech-to-text tasks.

A hands-on project to get more familiar with Kotlin, Android Studio and built-in Wi-Fi analyzing libraries. The app scans available Wi-Fi networks, displays details like SSID, BSSID, signal strength and supported standards, and offers insights into each network's security level.

This project came from the Industry 4.0 and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Level 8 certificate course at Munster Technological University. The system uses a load cell sensor to detect weight, an HX711 module to amplify and process the signal, and an LCD screen to show the weight in real time.
Placing a weight on the load cell raised the number on the LCD screen, proving the system works. Future improvements could include an Arduino to log data to a database and Grafana to graph how weight changes over time.

A smart bird feeder designed to automatically capture videos of birds visiting the garden, built using components from previous projects and a 3D printer. A Raspberry Pi runs a motion detection script that triggers a camera to record short clips when a bird lands on the feeder.
The enclosure is a custom CAD-designed, 3D-printed body using threaded screw inserts set in with a soldering iron, allowing a strong, reusable connection for easy access to the internal components.
